The Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation (MCSF) is a public non-profit corporation operated by volunteers and professional staff. The Foundation does not receive any government funds, but rather relies on its volunteers to raise funds primarily with a series of special events across the country.

The Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation provides financial assistance in the form of scholarships to deserving sons and daughters of current or former United States Marines in their pursuit of higher education. We also provide a very limited number of scholarships to children of Navy Corpsmen who serve or have served with Marines. They also have additional scholarship funding for children who whose parent is participating or has participated in Operation Iraqi Freedom or Operation Enduring Freedom.

Established in 1929, The Dallas Foundation is a publicly supported charitable foundation consisting of named funds established by many separate donors for the benefit of the Dallas area, although the Foundation's grantmaking extends nationally. The Foundation's grants include the arts, education, health, and social services.

The Dallas Foundation created a $5 million Texas Resources for Iraq Afghanistan Deployment (TRIAD) Fund, which will distribute grants to nonprofit organizations across the North Texas region over the next two years. The money will be awarded to nonprofit groups that provide needed services to active and former military personnel serving in Iraq and/or Afghanistan and their families.

The San Antonio Area Foundation aspires to significantly enhance the quality of life of our community by providing outstanding service to donors, producing significant asset growth, strengthening community collaboration and managing an exemplary grants program. This is accomplished through: Professionally managing and distributing revenues – and portions of the principal when permitted – from donors' charitable contributions and bequests in a way that’s consistent with your specific and general interests; maintaining and enhancing educational, social, cultural, health and civic resources of the community through support of qualified nonprofit organizations; providing philanthropic leadership to improve the quality of the life in the community.

The TRIAD partner foundations are disbursing $15 million over the next two years for programs that assist Iraq and Afghanistan deployed military personnel and their families. Already, more than $4.5 million has been distributed by the foundations to 22 agencies that provide services ranging from emergency financial assistance for family members to equipping wounded soldiers with adaptive laptops.
